After School Care

Astoria Lutheran School operates two afterschool programs, one for the preschool, and the other for the grade school. Two of our teachers, serve as co-directors of the programs, serving on alternate days. Additionally, each program is staffed with a supervisor and an assistant. The programs have a set schedule of activities, free play, and snack. The grade school program includes a period for homework help and quiet study.

We offer an enrichment program from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm for our 3-K and Pre-K programs. In this special program children experience building their pincher muscles to begin holding a writing instrument, learning to write letters top, middle and down, experiencing mathematical tasks like counting and patterning.
