Pre-K 3 Agenda
March 10th-13th
No School Monday/Teacher Training
We will continue with our theme of Transportation. Our focus for this week will cover types of transportation that are used on land such as cars, trucks, buses, trains…… Please look through magazines, the newspaper or google together with your child and bring in a few pictures of transportation that is used on land. There are several kinds. We will share and discuss these pictures in circle and use them to create a simple word wall in our reading area.
Centers for this week will include creating popsicle stick roads, Matching simple license plates to their appropriate cars and pairing transportation pattern prints. All other centers will be open as always including track building for our homemade box train in our block area.
Art for this week will include adding doors, wheels, windows etc. to our 3D cars and trucks. We will be practicing our motor skills by cutting out our own land transportation vehicles with scissors and construction paper for our large transportation scene. We will also be cutting out our own traffic lights. St. Patrick’s Day is on the way so here come Fruit Loop rainbows and Lucky Charm shamrocks.
