WELCOME TO PRE-K 3
Hello and a warm welcome to my Pre-K 3 students and families of 2019-2020. It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as your lead teacher, Ms. Jennifer Pomares.
I have been encouraging and guiding little ones throughout out their Pre-School experience at Astoria Lutheran School for what will be my 15th year. My thoughts and techniques throughout our classroom and with my students is a reflection of my gained experience from working in our Universal Pre-School 4 program for over the past several years. However, I have modified routines and education to suit those on a nursery school level. Together, my wonderful assistant Ms. Matilda and I will be collaborating throughout the year to ensure that our students receive the skills that they need to exude academic success, independence, socialization and creativity all with the highest quality of love, communication, comfort and understanding. With a background in art, dance and fitness, I am also an advocate for living a healthy lifestyle full of artistic expression and movement and encourage these ideas amongst our classroom as well.
So, off we go into the beginning of what for some may be a new experience and for others somewhat recognizable. Regardless of your previous educational experiences you and your little one may have had we will work together as a team to make this a phenomenal and memorable school year for all in Pre-K 3!
